I can't even put into words how much I love this blog. I am going to go through all of your pages and reblogging the crap out of you. All of my friends think I'm weird for loving hairless cats. I think they're beautiful, smart and soft. I am going to adopt one and name it Rogaine :)
Aw thank you so much! And just letting you know I am holding a giveaway when I reach 5,000 followers (any day now) so look back on the blog and enter it:)
in response to bonesandbirch's information; i paid $1500 for my sphynx which was actually the most expensive i could find because i thought the same thing. although he doesnt have HCM, i ended up paying $600 in tests and medication because he came to me with an ear infection & 4 different parasites from the breeder's house. :( so expensive doesn't always mean healthy, either.
Contributing to the last ask, NEVER look for a "cheap" sphynx. Cheap means health problems like HCM. Save the money and invest in a healthy animal. If you haven't already done that research, it doesn't sound like you're ready for one.
Hey! So, just so you know, I love this blog. Hairless cats are the SHIT. Anyways, where's a good place to get a hairless cat? And how much would one cost? I really want to get myself one; Hell , I already have the name picked out! :D So, where's a good place to get one for semi cheapish?
Look for local breeders in your area or look at specialized shelters (which you might not have near you). They’re pricey, not gonna lie, expect to spend between 750-1000 dollars on a kitten. You might be able to get an adult cat for cheaper, talk to your local breeders! And you need to be certain you can take care of them. They require a lot of special needs that you’d need to look into. Don’t look for the cheapest cat either, find a breeder you trust and be prepared to drop a good amount of money on your little kitty.
